Steve Krug does an excellent job of succinctly communicating the essentials of website design, focusing on “usability,” meaning, how well the user can—or, more importantly will—use and interact with the site. He cites many effective (and ineffective) real-world examples of the principles he uses for determining usability, with lots of helpful illustrations. Definitely a good tool for anyone who designs websites, or has their own website(s).
