Author: Greg

Born in the now distant land of Springfield, OH, and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, I met my future wife Jen in the 8th grade in Earth Science (she was the girl with the big hair and glasses across the room...) Now reside in Palmyra, NY after having found ourselves residing in various homes and domiciles all over the country as we traveled and sang about the Kingdom of God with our growing brood of kids in tow. I now get to design websites and other things graphical for folks around me, as well as sell Apple (Computer) products to anyone who may be interested. Burning The Candle at Both Ends

Posted on September 10th, 2009 :: 6:41 am by Greg

So this week I’ve been trying mornings. It seemed recently like with all that I had to do, I was working later and later into the evening, then making dinner for my family way too late, and then having a not enjoyable couple hours with my kids. (Then exhausted once it was just me and…

Oh Nine, Oh Nine, Oh Nine

Posted on September 9th, 2009 :: 7:04 am by Greg

For some reason, I’m one of those people who like it when the calendar says something more. Earlier this year we had 07/08/09. Seven, Eight, Nine. That’s fun! Every year there’s one day where the day, month, and year all match… And today is that day! :-) Hope you have a great 09/09/09! If you’re…

Come As You Are Purchase @ iTunes Song (at Amazon) | Album Come As You Are Today’s song – the final song in this 7-day celebration of the 7-year anniversary of the album – is the title track, Come As You Are. If you have been following along all week, you may see the reason…

[Song For The Day] You Love Me

Posted on September 5th, 2009 :: 8:00 am by Greg

Come As You Are Purchase @ iTunesSong | Album You Love MeToday’s song probably doesn’t get played very often. It’s not a “radio length” song. (It’s around six minutes long.) It’s near the end of the album, and we don’t do it that often when we perform live. But in our recent listen to the…

Right Idea, But Still Scary

Posted on September 4th, 2009 :: 9:30 am by Greg

If you don’t have time to watch this whole thing, then watch the last 10 seconds or so. But be warned, out of context it will just be scary. Very scary. Very “Un-American”. Problem is, if you watch the rest (minus a few other wacky moments) you’ll see again what I was talking about yesterday….

[Song For The Day] What I’m Askin’ For

Posted on September 4th, 2009 :: 8:00 amSeptember 16th, 2013 :: 10:33 pm by Greg

Come As You Are Purchase @ iTunesSong | Album What I’m Askin’ For Today’s song is one of my favorites both because of what it says and how it musically says it. The song is very sad sounding in parts, lamenting. But in the angst of that lament, the truth of God’s unchanging love for…

Anchor Bar: Now in Rochester!

Posted on September 3rd, 2009 :: 3:07 pm by Greg

The famous Anchor Bar (the originator of the Buffalo Chicken Wing) is now a franchise? Just heard it reported that the restaurant is opening a new location here in Rochester! Sadly, even though I am famous for my own wings, and love to eat good wings by the dozen… I’ve never had Anchor Bar’s wings……

Listen. Just Listen.

Posted on September 3rd, 2009 :: 2:06 pm by Greg

One last thing to say in the arena of politics today. For a while now I have been really bothered by the way political discussions are so heavily slanted in one direction or another. The same issue can be discussed by either “side” of an issue using almost exactly the same terms but applied equally…

Is Barack Obama in the Right Place?

Posted on September 3rd, 2009 :: 1:53 pm by Greg

I mentioned in my previous post that one of my “qualities” is that I can truly give people the benefit of the doubt. I presume the best of intentions from everyone (perhaps because I know my heart, and I only have the best of intentions for everyone I know – and don’t know – around…

Obama’s Civilian National Security Force

Posted on September 3rd, 2009 :: 12:00 pm by Greg

I’ve heard this audio clip a few times, so I looked it up and found this YouTube clip. What is he talking about? Seriously? Isn’t our military the most well-funded in the world? First, where will he get the money to equal or best that funding for a “civilian national security force” (there are some…
