Chicken Pox

Posted on August 23rd, 2006 :: 11:36 am by Greg

I believe we are in the throes of everyone’s childhood nightmare… CHICKEN POX! Ian has a crazy rash all over his face, and it’s spreading. It certainly has all the signs of C-Pox, so, I guess… here we go! Our neighbor has already asked if she can have Ian come play so he can infect…

Smelling The Roses

Posted on August 21st, 2006 :: 11:35 am by Greg

I went to the post office today, in a bit of a rush, just getting the week started and as I was walking up the sidewalk to the entrance, I noticed an older lady approaching the building as well, but she stopped before reaching the sidewalk … to smell a white rose that was in…

The Strangest Thing…

Posted on August 20th, 2006 :: 7:02 am by Greg

It’s 7:47am, and I am awake. On Sunday. While that is sort of odd, it’s perhaps more odd that we are awake this early to go to the county fair. 🙂 Jen’s dad is preaching at the worship service at the fair this morning, so they asked if we would like to join them singing….

E-Mail Forwards

Posted on August 18th, 2006 :: 10:25 am by Greg

I am NOT a fan of e-mail forwards. Mostly I skim the ones from my parents (my Dad likes to pass them along) and my sister (since she sends them less frequently)… but overall, I know they’re all just garbage. It would be like reading tabloids or something – purely for the entertainment value. So,…

Ceremony

Posted on August 18th, 2006 :: 8:31 am by Greg

NOTE: I have mentioned before that I am weird. I see the world differently than everyone else on the planet, I think. So, just wanted to remind you of that before you read this particular post… A friend of ours told us last night that their ten-year-old son will soon be baptized. That was great…

Illusions

Posted on August 17th, 2006 :: 9:18 am by Greg

My dad sent me an email forward today (which, sorry Dad… sometimes I just skip over…) 🙂 But, today I checked this one out with Ian, who happened to be in the office with me. These three were pretty cool! Is It Moving… Or Not?!?Focus on the dots in the middle of these circles. Then…

More Perma-Jube® Thoughts

Posted on August 14th, 2006 :: 2:54 pm by Greg

Several have taken the Perma-Jube® designation and run with that, so I think I will continue to use that when referring to my generally optimistic, trusting outlook on people and life. I have a few more thoughts I have been pondering this weekend, that I think relate to my previous posts My Glass Is Half-Full,…

Apple Camp

Posted on August 14th, 2006 :: 11:02 am by Greg

I think I mentioned on this page that Ian (our oldest) got to be part of two Apple Camp sessions this July. What’s Apple Camp, you ask? I’m glad you asked! It was awesome! The Apple Retail Stores did a 2-3 hour “courses” on various fun aspects of the Mac – movies, podcasts, websites, music…

Sleepy

Posted on August 11th, 2006 :: 8:35 am by Greg

One more thing… I think it’s amazingly cool that I had to go wake every one of my family members up at 9:20am! Ha! Well, all are up now and we’re ready to go! GO BILLS!! (PS… to be fair, Jen had to get up with the baby at 5:42 last night… so… she does…

My Glass Is Half-Full

Posted on August 11th, 2006 :: 8:02 am by Greg

Thinking more about what I wrote last night, I remembered another train of thought that I have been processing recently. I have been trying to figure out again why I seem to have more of a positive take on the world and humanity than most every other human being I know. A friend of mine…
