Hockey Update

Posted on May 7th, 2007 :: 11:35 pm by Greg

The Final Four are set. Sabres vs Senators in the East, and Red Wings vs Ducks in the West. 1 vs 4 and 1 vs 2. I would love to see Sabres/Red Wings… just for the Dominik Hasek angle. But the Ducks are FAST (like the Sabres) and can score… would be an exciting Stanley…

The Mormons – PBS

Posted on May 7th, 2007 :: 4:29 pm by Greg

Living in Palmyra perhaps makes things with the words Mormon, or Latter-Day Saints, or Joseph Smith stand out at a quick glance. I caught an article today on a recent PBS series (that I was unaware of) called The Mormons. I found out that they have posted the entire video online, so I watched bits…

What Color Are Yours?

Posted on May 4th, 2007 :: 11:54 am by Greg

This morning, I was brushing Kirsten’s hair, and I think I made some comment about how beautiful she is… because she is. 🙂 When I did, she said, “What color are yours?” I actually didn’t know what she was talking about, but she was staring at my eyes, so I think I clarified, “My eyes?”…

Hulk Smash!

Posted on May 3rd, 2007 :: 10:29 am by Greg

Found this for my friend Chi today. He doesn’t like that the end of the game is you turn back into “puny Banner”… but, there’s a lot of smashing. I know my boys will like it once they see this blog post…. 🙂 So have fun smashing! (Too small? Try the LARGER VERSION!)

Controversial Call in Game 4

Posted on May 3rd, 2007 :: 9:47 am by Greg

You may have heard (I forget if I might have said here on this blog) that the Sabres lost game 4 in NY and are now tied with NY at 2 games a piece. But perhaps it might have been different had the video review guys been a bit braver, and made the call that…

Sabres Series Tied

Posted on May 2nd, 2007 :: 6:57 am by Greg

The Sabres unfortunately did not read my blog yesterday. The Rangers just “wanted it more” for 2.5 periods. The second Rangers’ goal lit a fire underneath the Sabres, and they played “like they were on the power play for the last 10 minutes”, said a Rangers announcer, but… as they say, “too little, too late”….

Brady Restructures Contract to Bring In Moss

Posted on May 2nd, 2007 :: 6:41 am by Greg

The comments at the bottom would suggest otherwise, but I love that Tom Brady – who some compare to Joe Montana, one of the greatest NFL QBs ever – restructred his contract (took less money this year) so that they could bring in another (potentially) great receiver. Now, Moss is doing just fine with a…

What It Takes To Win

Posted on May 1st, 2007 :: 11:20 am by Greg

I was watching the second hockey game last night, featuring #5 seed San Jose vs the #1 seed Detroit Red Wings. And I noticed what I think the Sabres might be lacking so far in the playoffs. Yes, they won the first round in 5 games over the Islanders, and have a 2-1 advantage in…

5 Reasons

Posted on May 1st, 2007 :: 9:55 am by Greg

You might know that I really, really don’t like summer… and that’s mainly due to the hot, sticky weather. Ick. Just really not for me. But this past week of warmness reminded me that there are at least 5 more reasons to not like summer… Ants Mosquitos Flies Alien Bugs Spiders (except that they eat…
