Three In One

Posted on April 6th, 2007 :: 4:27 pm by Greg

This morning the boys were in my office to read the Bible, and we got talking about one particular line we read. Soon after this, Jesus was going through towns and villages, telling the good news about God’s kingdom. Luke 8:1 So many times we take the good news out of the “good news”! I…

Down To The Wire

Posted on April 6th, 2007 :: 11:51 am by Greg

With only two games remaining, the Sabres are tied for the top record in the NHL, and well in command for earning the President’s Trophy for the team that finishes the season at the top of the league. Detroit is the only team who can catch the Sabres, and they only have one game left….

Various Things

Posted on April 5th, 2007 :: 10:15 am by Greg

Kirsten joined us for reading the Bible today (usually it’s just Dad & the boys…) and in today’s story, Jesus was going to have dinner with one of the Pharisee’s named Simon. Well, we had just been talking about how we’d like to go to Wendy’s for dinner, so I said, “Maybe they went to…

One More Alex Story

Posted on April 4th, 2007 :: 3:40 pmJanuary 24th, 2012 :: 11:08 am by Greg

Alex reminded me before lunch today that I am the “Kingdom of the family. Because you’re the tallest.” He’s pretty sure I’m in charge. I told him that I am not… Jesus is the King of our family, and we listen to him. Then he told me, “Well, you’re the king of us, the kids.”…

Mac OS Ken

Posted on April 4th, 2007 :: 3:36 pm by Greg

After a funny little incident involving my iPod Shuffle and a podcast I listen to, I decided to e-mail the dude who does the show, and my email made today’s podcast. 🙂 I clipped the show and have uploaded the audio here, if you’d care to listen. Click on Ken’s face to visit his site…

Chips & Salsa

Posted on April 4th, 2007 :: 2:53 pm by Greg

Yesterday I strolled through the living room and saw the boys eating chips and salsa again, which has become one of their favorite snacks. That’s cool, and all, except, it’s one of mine also! So I said to the boys, “No more chips and salsa for the boys… FOREVER!!!” 🙂 (I used my teasing voice,…

Drill & Fill

Posted on April 3rd, 2007 :: 3:13 pm by Greg

Today on the way to the dentist to have a cavity (a pretty good one, it turns out) filled I was talking with Ian (whom I was dropping off at his piano lesson… busy day!) and I said, “See, Dad likes to go to Chill & Grill (our ice cream place) so much that now…

Seventeen Years

Posted on April 2nd, 2007 :: 3:52 pm by Greg

Tonight is the NCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship game. 9pm on CBS. We’ll be gathered round the TV, probably with a snack or two, watching OSU go for the victory in Championship II vs the Univ of FL. (We’re rooting for the Buckeyes…) But more than basketball, tonight is a celebration of seventeen years of…
