Three Little Known Facts

Posted on October 8th, 2008 :: 10:30 pm by Greg

I was thinking today… I bet that you – no matter how much you may read this blog – may not know the following three things about me… I am an ordained minister. (It’s true! No lie!) I have a friend who refuses to call me anything but Mitch (and various derivatives) Both of my…

Frank Caliendo on Letterman

Posted on September 1st, 2008 :: 9:00 am by Greg

A friend passed this along recently, and I just watched it again. Wanted to share with you. It’s old I think, so you may have seen it. He’s quite good at all the impressions he does here, but I really love his Bill Clinton! What he says, and his facial expressions! Hilarious! Thanks Chris 🙂

08.08.08

Posted on August 8th, 2008 :: 5:52 pm by Greg

You probably do not need to be reminded of this, but today is the one fun day every year where the day, the month, and the year all match. This one happens to also be the first day of the summer olympics, happening this time in China. It’s also the tenth wedding anniversary of some…

Special Guests at the Apple Store

Posted on August 7th, 2008 :: 7:54 am by Greg

All kinds of people come into the Apple store. I get to meet and talk with people of all ages, backgrounds, and nationalities. That’s a pretty fun part of the job, actually. A couple days ago, I got to meet a few guys that were even more fun to chat with, being a long-time (big)…

A Lesson From Monopoly

Posted on August 5th, 2008 :: 11:52 pm by Greg

It’s probably not even accurate, but tonight while I was playing a game of Monopoly with my nine-year-old son, Ian, I couldn’t help but notice how the game paralleled life – and how I did not like that. First off, it was just a really fun night. We call them OK Nights. (One Kid Nights.)…

A Picture of 54,000 Words

Posted on July 31st, 2008 :: 1:02 pm by Greg

I followed a link to a pretty fun site yesterday. It’s called Wordle, and lets you take any text, or URL, or feed from any site and make a random word picture from the text that you give it. Very fun, actually! I did a couple more images. First, when I just took the text…

Tank Who

Posted on July 25th, 2008 :: 7:18 pm by Greg

My friend Hannah told me a joke this week, and I keep remembering it (and using the key phrase from it) so, I figured it needed to be shared here… “Knock knock.” “Who’s there?” “Tank.” “Tank who?” “You’re welcome!”

Nothing Finer

Posted on July 25th, 2008 :: 6:25 pm by Greg

I just gotta say… Our tomatoes are doing so great! We have gotten a small sampling of the cherry tomatoes so far – and they just taste fantastic. There’s nothing finer than homegrown tomatoes! And, oddly enough, I really like the smell of the tomato plants, too… 🙂

Turkey Hill Ice Cream – Celebrating National Ice Cream Month

Posted on July 3rd, 2008 :: 12:15 pm by Greg

Just like last year, the good folks at the Turkey Hill Ice Cream blog are posting fun ice cream related stories to their blog every day during July – National Ice Cream Month. I’m not sure what the exact prizes are, but I know they pick commenters randomly and award prizes all month long. Fun…

Food Fest II

Posted on June 30th, 2008 :: 9:15 am by Greg

As promised, Food Fest II took place this weekend, and the following is a brief recap of the day’s events. The first eaters arrived around 11:00am, and much of the food was on the table, ready to be eaten! We had chips and salsa, chips and homemade Celery Seed Dip (a hit!), fresh sliced watermelon,…
