Author: Greg

Born in the now distant land of Springfield, OH, and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, I met my future wife Jen in the 8th grade in Earth Science (she was the girl with the big hair and glasses across the room...) Now reside in Palmyra, NY after having found ourselves residing in various homes and domiciles all over the country as we traveled and sang about the Kingdom of God with our growing brood of kids in tow. I now get to design websites and other things graphical for folks around me, as well as sell Apple (Computer) products to anyone who may be interested. I made a quick trip to our grocery story tonight (the local IGA is about 1 mile from our house) to get some baking cocoa for some chocolate icing I was making for the chocolate cup cakes I had already made for my pregnant wife. 🙂 I really didn’t want to go – too much…

"I Need Helllp"

Posted on February 23rd, 2008 :: 10:13 am by Greg

This morning as I was sitting here doing a few things on Facebook, I heard a little voice from the other room say, “Moooooommmm….” So, since Mom was not quite awake, I said, “Yes??” The voice responded, “I need helllllp.” I didn’t really want to get up right then, and Alex was standing in our…

Free Hockey Tickets, Anyone?

Posted on February 22nd, 2008 :: 12:32 am by Greg

Two nights ago we decided at the last moment to spend our evening celebrating Ian’s birthday (yes, he’s the Christmas boy…) at Chuck. E. Cheese. We have made a tradition of celebrating birthdays there (even mine!) and so though not actually on his birthday, we wanted to do the same for Ian. (As did he!)…

Knight Rider Review

Posted on February 21st, 2008 :: 1:27 am by Greg

The week has gotten away from me. The urgent has taken over. A few lingering projects continue to puzzle me. A new discovery has enthralled me. But I did manage in the busyness to catch the new continuing adventures of the K.I.T.T. and the Knight Rider. Overall, I did like it. Jen had to leave…

Tecmo Superbowl ’06!

Posted on February 20th, 2008 :: 12:45 pm by Greg

I can’t really believe this, but someone is making new versions of THE GREATEST VIDEO GAME EVER! My boys and I are quite excited to have found a 2006 version of the classic Nintendo game. But I just noticed today that they are working on (and have a sort of “beta version” of) a 2007…

Great Deal on a Mac!

Posted on February 20th, 2008 :: 11:30 am by Greg

I am no longer paid by Apple to tell you this, but that never mattered anyway! I was looking for something at the Apple store yesterday and discovered that they are selling refurbished iMacs at extra low prices. You can get a 20″ core 2 duo iMac for $999! (That’s good.) I think that link…

Powerful Thoughts?

Posted on February 20th, 2008 :: 10:13 am by Greg

I don’t know if this is for real, but I got it from a friend on Facebook and thought it might be possible? 🙂 Does mind over matter include over other matter? 🙂 Also, can’t you affect how a plant grows by how you talk to it? The rest of the experiment (says the video)…

UBA

Posted on February 16th, 2008 :: 9:33 am by Greg

I saw a pretty cool thing on the Red Robin website today. We love their food, and celebrate all of our birthdays there, but now I will also be visiting their website. It’s called UnBridled Acts (of kindness), and just features stories of their employees going way above and beyond their normal duties. I read…

Can’t Sleep

Posted on February 16th, 2008 :: 9:22 am by Greg

Not sure what it was about last night, but it was not our night to sleep 🙂 First, we got our Mac Mini back from the Apple store (replacing a defective hard drive) and hooked it up right away, even used it. But then, not-so-smart, plays-with-too-many-settings Dad tinkered with the display resolution one too many…

It Has a Dragon, Too!

Posted on February 15th, 2008 :: 12:57 pm by Greg

Last night Kirstie came over to Jen and me with a couple toys in her hands. They were little plastic vehicles. A puller, and a trailer. She excitedly announced to us, “And it has a draggin’, too!” It took us a moment… but we got it. Very cute use of the English language. 🙂
