All New iPods, iTunes Wireless

Posted on September 5th, 2007 :: 2:21 pm by Greg

Apple made their big announcements today. Nothing really unexpected, and most expectations were met. No Beatles announcement, but it won’t be long. I’ll be writing up much more on my Apple Blog later tonight, but for now, here are the highlights: iPod Shuffle in new colors iPod Nano is shorter, bigger screen, video, larger hard…

Sabres Already??

Posted on September 5th, 2007 :: 9:51 am by Greg

The Sabres sent out an e-mail yesterday with an ad for pre-season tickets. The games start September 21st! Holy cow! I love hockey, and think it will be another fun season in Buffalo… but I can’t believe it’s hockey season already! They are offering 50% off on kids tickets for the pre-season games. Click the…

The Water Horse

Posted on September 5th, 2007 :: 12:15 am by Greg

I was scrolling through the new movie trailers in Front Row tonight and found a movie called “The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep” at the bottom of the list. It was rated PG, so I decided to check it out. Wondered what it might be about. It had some impressive credits (but, don’t they…

Jesus Said

Posted on September 5th, 2007 :: 12:05 am by Greg

… we should be like children.I think about that phrase quite often, since there are many children around me at any given moment. What part of being a child does Jesus want for us? Does he want us to be disrespectful, selfish, whiny, impatient, messy, crazies with little to no self-control? Uh… I guess… maybe?…

Running Out

Posted on September 2nd, 2007 :: 1:00 am by Greg

Lately I have been running several things dry. First it was my own body, falling asleep during a BILLS GAME almost instantly, with no recollection of the “nodding off” part. Just complete, immediate shut down. Then today I had a couple more incidents… First, on returning from our friends house, the van started acting like…

Facebook Friends

Posted on September 2nd, 2007 :: 12:58 am by Greg

One more thing… Just today I have heard from three former classmates via my Facebook page! Two of them are from elementary school (in Caracas Venezuela) and then another friend from high school wrote today. How cool is that?? Especially the elementary school friends from 24 years ago!! If you have not checked out facebook……

Apple Feuding with NBC

Posted on September 2nd, 2007 :: 12:07 am by Greg

Apparently, Apple is sick and tired of NBC’s shenanigans! The 3rd largest music retailer in the world (who also sells video content…) is parting ways with all of it’s NBC content (30% of it’s top shows!) in the month of September! Seems a drastic move by Apple, but they contend that NBC wanted to double…

The Week The Was(n’t?)

Posted on September 1st, 2007 :: 11:54 pm by Greg

It’s just after midnight, and I am sitting on my in-laws’ porch in Clarence, NY, sipping a mug of Chamomile tea… thinking back on a crazy week of fun. But one of the more memorable things about the week was that it felt like there were a few days that just didn’t happen at all!…

Relief

Posted on August 30th, 2007 :: 2:02 am by Greg

The past week saw a bit of relief for us on the income freeze. I think I have mentioned here that the summer was quite a financial drought. Not many (maybe there weren’t any?) of my current clients needed any substantial work done on their existing sites, and not much new business came in. We…

Not Like Us

Posted on August 30th, 2007 :: 2:00 am by Greg

I was thinking about life this morning, in the shower… as I usually do. Sometimes it’s the mundane “what do I have to do today” kind of stuff, other times it’s “meaning of life” kinda stuff. I suppose it was the latter today. We’re still in a pretty good pinch financially. We have some temporary…
