Author: Greg

Born in the now distant land of Springfield, OH, and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, I met my future wife Jen in the 8th grade in Earth Science (she was the girl with the big hair and glasses across the room...) Now reside in Palmyra, NY after having found ourselves residing in various homes and domiciles all over the country as we traveled and sang about the Kingdom of God with our growing brood of kids in tow. I now get to design websites and other things graphical for folks around me, as well as sell Apple (Computer) products to anyone who may be interested. Time For a Shave?

Posted on May 13th, 2007 :: 3:00 pm by Greg

From all appearances, my playoff beard is not long for this world. But appearances can be deceiving… We missed the first period of the game last night, but from the report my brother-in-law gave, the Sabres played very well, and they did finish period one with a 2-1 lead. I heard a brief interview with…

Ready For Vacation

Posted on May 11th, 2007 :: 7:40 am by Greg

Tomorrow we head off for a week of family vacation. We have not done that as a family of six. We have with five, when Kirstie was a tiny baby, but not as a unit of six. We’re looking forward to it. Today I realized that I am really looking forward to it. It’s just…

You’re Gonna Have To Do Better Than That…

Posted on May 10th, 2007 :: 9:26 pm by Greg

The studio guys said the Sabres were outskated. “The Senators were the better team,” they said. And who can argue with a 5-2 loss on home ice in Game One on Thursday night? Not exactly the way you want to start off the series! I’m not sure overall the Sens were better, but man, our…

Another Example of My Weirdness

Posted on May 9th, 2007 :: 4:07 pm by Greg

Earlier this week I got up early to go for a walk, as I have been doing since the beginning of 2007. But not long after I got up, I realized that I really don’t have to do this anymore. I forced myself through my routine, and even left the house. But my walk was…

Relocation

Posted on May 9th, 2007 :: 3:23 pm by Greg

I had to relocate my office today. My computers were finally overheating (one shut down a couple times while it was working) and so I figured I should give them a rest. I shut down most everything, and transferred my mail to my laptop so I could work off of that. It really didn’t work…

Rubber-Necking, Heroes, and We Just Don’t Get It

Posted on May 8th, 2007 :: 12:00 am by Greg

There was an auto accident right in front of our house today. Thankfully it did not involve any of us. Actually, it only involved one person – the driver of one vehicle, who collided with a parked car on the side of the road. But this story involves several different folks, and a peek into…

Hockey Update

Posted on May 7th, 2007 :: 11:35 pm by Greg

The Final Four are set. Sabres vs Senators in the East, and Red Wings vs Ducks in the West. 1 vs 4 and 1 vs 2. I would love to see Sabres/Red Wings… just for the Dominik Hasek angle. But the Ducks are FAST (like the Sabres) and can score… would be an exciting Stanley…

The Mormons – PBS

Posted on May 7th, 2007 :: 4:29 pm by Greg

Living in Palmyra perhaps makes things with the words Mormon, or Latter-Day Saints, or Joseph Smith stand out at a quick glance. I caught an article today on a recent PBS series (that I was unaware of) called The Mormons. I found out that they have posted the entire video online, so I watched bits…

What Color Are Yours?

Posted on May 4th, 2007 :: 11:54 am by Greg

This morning, I was brushing Kirsten’s hair, and I think I made some comment about how beautiful she is… because she is. 🙂 When I did, she said, “What color are yours?” I actually didn’t know what she was talking about, but she was staring at my eyes, so I think I clarified, “My eyes?”…

Hulk Smash!

Posted on May 3rd, 2007 :: 10:29 am by Greg

Found this for my friend Chi today. He doesn’t like that the end of the game is you turn back into “puny Banner”… but, there’s a lot of smashing. I know my boys will like it once they see this blog post…. 🙂 So have fun smashing! (Too small? Try the LARGER VERSION!)
