Author: Greg

Born in the now distant land of Springfield, OH, and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, I met my future wife Jen in the 8th grade in Earth Science (she was the girl with the big hair and glasses across the room...) Now reside in Palmyra, NY after having found ourselves residing in various homes and domiciles all over the country as we traveled and sang about the Kingdom of God with our growing brood of kids in tow. I now get to design websites and other things graphical for folks around me, as well as sell Apple (Computer) products to anyone who may be interested. Posted on November 8th, 2005 :: 10:09 pm by Greg

Remember I said at the end of my Academia post that Ian would be reading that post. Well, let me tell you, at age 6, Ian read that post! (I had to explain a few… ok, a lot… of words, but he read them all! Amazing!!) We went to Pizza Hut tonight for Ian’s free…

Posted on November 8th, 2005 :: 10:06 pm by Greg

You know, I am fairly certain that I am not a product of the opposite of everything my parents tried to train into me. I am pretty sure that they did a good job of passing along their values of loving God, and loving people, and a good, healthy work ethic, and just a general…

This Seems Related…

Posted on November 2nd, 2005 :: 1:19 am by Greg

I noticed this article posted to The God Journey as I was publishing mine tonight (just below). Seemed related. Check it out. (PS… I have not gotten to mention yet. The God Journey is a weekly podcast where two guys who are outside of the traditiona church structure discuss issues relating to that, or really…

Redefining Church

Posted on November 2nd, 2005 :: 1:14 am by Greg

In a conversation with friends recently, we found ourselves discussion various incarnations of the body of Christ and at one point I stopped to correct what I think is a fundamental error in our understanding of who we are as “the church”. It was simple, really, and one might argue that it is mere semantics,…

Academia

Posted on November 2nd, 2005 :: 1:08 am by Greg

I always thought that word had something to do with Macadamia nuts, or vice versa. But, that’s for another blog. We were chatting tonight about our son Ian’s reading abilities. He’s phenomenal. During last weekend’s visit with Grandma & Grandpa, Ian was reading like crazy because he loves it, and equally wowing the grandparents as…

All Hallows Eve

Posted on November 1st, 2005 :: 12:30 am by Greg

I don’t know if you have heard this or not, but there are varying opinions on whether or not professed believers and followers of Jesus should participate in the various frivolities associated with the celebration on October 31st that we call Halloween. This post has nothing to do with that. ๐Ÿ™‚ Two things that were…
