Author: Greg

Born in the now distant land of Springfield, OH, and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, I met my future wife Jen in the 8th grade in Earth Science (she was the girl with the big hair and glasses across the room...) Now reside in Palmyra, NY after having found ourselves residing in various homes and domiciles all over the country as we traveled and sang about the Kingdom of God with our growing brood of kids in tow. I now get to design websites and other things graphical for folks around me, as well as sell Apple (Computer) products to anyone who may be interested. Jen’s Birthday Adventure

Posted on November 1st, 2005 :: 12:15 am by Greg

The main event for my wife’s birthday this year was our departure for a weekend in Maine – without our kids! We were to leave shortly after Grandma arrived at our house to take charge of the kids at 10:30 in the morning. Well, you know how that goes. We ended up not leaving town…

Space Elevators

Posted on October 27th, 2005 :: 2:01 pm by Greg

I found this yesterday in a news article, and thought it was fascinating, and wanted to pass along. Apparently, people are trying to build elevators that will take us (and heavy payload) into space. Fascinating. Check out this video, too.

Jesus & Susan

Posted on October 27th, 2005 :: 11:27 am by Greg

A little while back, we met a lady named Susan. She boldly approached us – who at the time were strangers to her – on our city sidewalk and asked if we could help her and her husband purchase $10 in groceries for that day. She had received no help from the local churches (which…

Vacation!

Posted on October 27th, 2005 :: 11:05 am by Greg

Tomorrow is my wife’s birthday. I have been looking forward to that day for months now! I love celebrating my wife. She is by far my favorite person. (Though, I do rather enjoy my kids, as well) 🙂 Speaking of that, Jen’s present tomorrow is a weekend at a cool time share resort in Maine…

Foot In Mouth Disease

Posted on October 27th, 2005 :: 10:57 am by Greg

I have officially contracted Foot In Mouth disease. I hear it’s not fatal, just quite painful, and slightly embarrassing to go out in public. This week a series of events that have been building for a while, and then a “last straw” sort of event collided with my tiredness and an area of personal weakness,…

Mondays

Posted on October 25th, 2005 :: 3:49 am by Greg

I really should be going to bed right now, after finishing my second 9-5 shift today. On Mondays I do a regular 9-5 shift in the day light and then after dinner and a little fun with the family, I go back at if for the night time version of 9-5 for the Buffalo Bills…

Ambition

Posted on October 21st, 2005 :: 4:17 pm by Greg

When you hear the word “Ambition”, what comes to mind? Perhaps not a ‘what’ but a ‘who’ pops into your conciousness first. Someone very driven to succeed, and quite good at accomplishing things they set out to do. Their motivation and their, well, ambition, produces very tangible, visible results in their life. Now beyond the…

One More Reason To Choose Apple

Posted on October 15th, 2005 :: 10:59 am by Greg

By now you are keenly aware of the fact that I support Apple with all of my technogeek heart. I love their stuff. Every bit of it. But the coolest thing perhaps is their customer service. I might have mentioned before the free tech support offered at every Apple Retail Store – the Genius Bar…

True Randomness

Posted on October 15th, 2005 :: 10:50 am by Greg

The Apple iPod touts their music player’s ability to sort through your song library as such an essential feature that they named an entire product line “Shuffle“. Well, apparently some folks were not happy with the randomness of the shuffle songs feature, so Apple recently added a control to the randomness. As shown above, you…
