Author: Greg

Born in the now distant land of Springfield, OH, and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, I met my future wife Jen in the 8th grade in Earth Science (she was the girl with the big hair and glasses across the room...) Now reside in Palmyra, NY after having found ourselves residing in various homes and domiciles all over the country as we traveled and sang about the Kingdom of God with our growing brood of kids in tow. I now get to design websites and other things graphical for folks around me, as well as sell Apple (Computer) products to anyone who may be interested. Nessie

Posted on August 22nd, 2007 :: 12:23 pm by Greg

August 22nd, in the year 565 (whoa, that’s a LONG time ago!) the Irish monk St. Columba is said to have made the first sighting of the Loch Ness “monster” while helping establish Christianity in the wilds of Scotland. Crazy.

Bloggifying

Posted on August 22nd, 2007 :: 10:58 am by Greg

Every once in a while… the blog gets all backed up. I have about 5 or 6 blogs in the queue… at various stages of completion. It’s been a full week of working on various things (like an interview with Brian Moorman for the Buffalo Bills Review tonight) and now working on a video project…

Routine

Posted on August 22nd, 2007 :: 10:53 am by Greg

It’s pretty funny how routine can be a good thing. I usually think (and talk about) how routine = a rut. But today, when my routine (most would not call it a routine…) was modified a bit, I was having trouble getting back on track :-) So, routine is not always a bad thing. Just…

Monk

Posted on August 21st, 2007 :: 1:55 pm by Greg

Anyone out there watch the show Monk? We stumbled upon it (as I do with most TV) as a free video from iTunes maybe even a couple years ago. It’s been around for a while, but on USA, so perhaps you’ve not heard of it. The premise is that Adrian Monk (Tony Shalhoub) is a…

Ice Cream Record Books?

Posted on August 20th, 2007 :: 12:59 am by Greg

I have noticed recently that my 31 straight days of ice cream in the month of July was not really that hard to do. Without really trying, I have added now 19 more days to that total (and maybe a few more from before!) On July 4th I told some friends that I wanted to…

Blueberry Hill

Posted on August 18th, 2007 :: 10:59 pm by Greg

Isn’t there a song about blueberry hill? I know it was the name of the hill behind the main part of Mountainview Christian Camp where I have spent several weeks of several summers of my life. But tonight, though there weren’t really any noticeable hills… I’d say we visited THE blueberry hill! We’re in Clarence…

What Belongs To God

Posted on August 17th, 2007 :: 1:22 am by Greg

Our Bible reading in the mornings has been somewhat sporadic this summer, but hey, we’re still making it through the book of Luke just fine. A nice slow and easy pace. :-) Today we got to a familiar story. Jesus was out in public and some “spies” were sent to trip him up in his…

Cool Lunar Eclipse

Posted on August 16th, 2007 :: 7:33 pm by Greg

I was listening to the Science@NASA podcast last night and heard about an upcoming sky event your folks in the western US might be interested in knowing about. Actually, I guess it will be visible from most everywhere except Europe and Africa. But the Western US will have a fairly good view of the total…

John Lennon @ iTunes

Posted on August 15th, 2007 :: 2:29 am by Greg

Apple announced on Tuesday that the entire catalog of John Lennon‘s solo music has been added to their store. It’s all available as DRM-free music (which is also higher quality AAC files). This follows the addition of Paul McCartney‘s entire catalog earlier this year. Good stuff. But when will the Beatles arrive?

T-Shirt Wish List

Posted on August 14th, 2007 :: 11:26 pm by Greg

I found this shirt a very long time ago (I think through PodcastAlley.com, a podcast directory where my shows are listed) and wanted to get it then… still want to get it now, but not wanting to drop $18 on a t-shirt (plus shipping) :-) It does fit, however. (As I post this, I am…
