Tonight on the way home from our Wal-Mart Supercenter, there was the normal amount of noise coming from our very full back seats, but I noticed a recognizable melody rising over the din. It was our one-year old, singing the famous guitar riff to “Smoke On The Water”, correct rhythm and melody! A little background….

Born in the now distant land of Springfield, OH, and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, I met my future wife Jen in the 8th grade in Earth Science (she was the girl with the big hair and glasses across the room...) Now reside in Palmyra, NY after having found ourselves residing in various homes and domiciles all over the country as we traveled and sang about the Kingdom of God with our growing brood of kids in tow. I now get to design websites and other things graphical for folks around me, as well as sell Apple (Computer) products to anyone who may be interested.

July is national Ice Cream month, and I got an e-mail today from Turkey Hill dairy (yes, I subscribe to an ice cream newsletter… that might tell you something about how I feel about ice cream….) announcing a give away in July of FREE ICE CREAM. (One winner gets a year’s supply, four more get…
Audiobook Update
Installment #2 was just posted over at the There’s The Steeple… Here’s The Church podcast. It is available through iTunes, so that might be the best way to follow along if you’d like. There’s a link to subscribe under “feeds” in the right-hand column on that site. This week’s chapter (chapter one) is called, “Redefining…

Ian Jeffrey Campbell: God’s Gracious Gift
A Little Background…As we approached our first anniversary, life was a whirlwind of new things. Not only were we celebrating the first year of our marriage, we were also expecting our first baby! He was definitely planned, expected, and greatly anticipated. We were a bit surprised at how early he was coming into our family,…
Life In The Rearview Mirror (…not the book)
Tonight I dug out my old journals. I was looking for any account of the story of Ian’s birth. Actually, the journals only go back to late 1999, and nothing was written even remotely close to Ian’s birthday (it was Christmas, after all!) so I had no luck there… But I did find a bit…
Approaching One Thousand
Recently I have been monitoring my post count. The dashboard in Blogger tells me how many different posts I have published to my blog. Currently, I stand at 997, and this will be 998. That’s a lot of posts. Quite a fence that would make… ;-) Well I have been thinking about what would be…
iPhone-mania
In case you haven’t heard… Apple will be releasing what they think is the next “iPod”. (That’s not what they’re saying… they are just super excited about this device.) It’s a phone, but way more than that. If you haven’t seen the commercials, or read or heard much about it, you can visit Apple’s website…
The Heat…
I must say that even though my air conditioner has been blasting all day… my attic office is really beginning to heat up. It’s up to about 83 degrees now, and probably still climbing. That’s actually really good because the non-insulated portion of the attic seems to be at about 130!!! :-) What I’m a…
Flag Day Cookies…
