The Sabres actually lost last night! The series is now tied at 1-1. They did not match the intensity of the Islanders for the first 15 minutes of the game, and so were down 2-0. They finally scored late in the first, and then the NYI goalie made some fantastic saves to keep the score…

Born in the now distant land of Springfield, OH, and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, I met my future wife Jen in the 8th grade in Earth Science (she was the girl with the big hair and glasses across the room...) Now reside in Palmyra, NY after having found ourselves residing in various homes and domiciles all over the country as we traveled and sang about the Kingdom of God with our growing brood of kids in tow. The Definition of Insanity
Twice now in the past 24 hours I have heard someone reiterate the famous quote, “The definition of insanity is to do something the same way and expect different results.” (Or something to that effect.) The best part about the quote is that I have heard it attributed to SO many different people! The past…
Foggy
Today is a bit of a fog. I know the Sabres won last night… that much I can remember. I also know that we will be getting a new window and a new front door (the outside one) installed relatively soon. It will look nice, but mainly it should save us some bucks in the…

I Guess I’m Emergent?
Not too sure about the results here, but saw this on Chris’ blog and thought I’d take a crack at it. Last time I was Seventh Day Adventist, which was awesome. :-) You scored as Emergent/Postmodern. You are Emergent/Postmodern in your theology. You feel alienated from older forms of church, you don’t think they connect…
Stuff I (Wish I Could Say I) Am Reading
We have been noticing lately that there is just WAY TOO MUCH good stuff to do in your free time. So, I have a bunch of books that I have started, and am currently “working on”, but that’s when I’m not watching the stuff we’ve TiVoed, or catching up on podcasts, or playing some vintage…
Sabres!
This Thursday night the Sabres will be hosting the NY Islanders to start the NHL playoffs! We can’t wait!!! The regular season was sort of a formality for the Sabres. Their presence in the post season was pretty much a given. The best part this year is that all of the injured players have healed,…
NEStopia
While reading an article on some Mac software releases and such, I happened upon a link to a Nintendo NES Emultaor for Mac OS X!!! I checked it out, and it was super easy to install and I found a game that will run on it that I have been wanting to find for a…
Easter Means Chocolate
I know, I know. Easter is NOT about the chocolate, or the Bunny, or the eggs and whatever else our society has decided to commercialize. BUT… I really do like chocoalte. Especially Esther Price chocolate!!! Ever since I can remember, the Easter Bunny has brought the eggs you see above to my house… hiding some…
